The Value of a Somatic Approach for Tracking Resiliency and Pacing Therapy Effectively

A 75-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

A somatic approach to therapy engages vital aspects of our clients’ process that are not available through cognitive work alone. By closely tracking shifts in bodily responses, we can get moment-by-moment information about their nervous system activation that reveals unstated “signs of struggle” and disconnections from full presence. We can use this data to get a more accurate reading on our clients’ resiliency, which can guide our pacing of the work. Clients can easily become activated beyond levels of resiliency that are not evident through their narrative, but are discernable from noticing somatic responses. Such “subtle dissociation” happens frequently, and is often unintentionally missed, making the therapy more difficult.

A 75 MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

Take EMDR to the next level with the transformative power of Somatics! While EMDR is a leading approach for trauma, overwhelming emotions can sometimes stall progress. In fact, the emotional impact of trauma frequently gives rise to physical ailments, resulting in pain and discomfort. Somatic techniques masterfully deactivate emotions in the body, offering relief from trauma-induced emotional suffering and physical ailments. Discover how integrating Somatics can amplify EMDR’s impact and create lasting healing. Helpful Somatic Self Supportive Contact techniques and Dialogue will be amply demonstrated. Join me to explore body centered approaches to revolutionize results and accelerate healing!
